OUR FOCUS TODAY
Cancer Patient Data
A database – needs data. For CICI to have any demonstrable value, it will need actual patient data. What we are looking for includes:
- patient “demographics”, (age, breed, etc.)
- diagnosis details (date of diagnosis, morphology, topography, pathology),
- treatment details (including simple yes/no),
- type of treatment(s),
- progression of disease,
- date of death, and if death was cancer-related or not.
Other Helpful Information That CICI Can Track
- If the patient was spayed/neutered?
- Were there side effects?
- How much did the treatments cost?
Other Information That Would Provide More Complete Surveillance
- a count of non-cancer patients seen in a given timeframe (ie: a year)
- “follow up” of the patient’s survival after treatment
